Welcome to the Reason Fore Hope Golf Classic!
Come enjoy a day of fun and the opportunity to play a round of golf with some of Denver's most celebrated personalities! Multiple pro-athletes and radio personalities have volunteered their time and are eager to share their inside stories, jokes, and tips, while playing a round of golf with you all while you benefit two of Colorado's most worthwhile 501(c)3 non-profit charities.
The Reason Fore Hope Golf Classic is comprised entirely of volunteers whose mission is to support selected non-profit organizations with emphasis on helping the homeless and the hungry. This year's tournament proceeds will be supporting two organizations: Helping Our People Excel and StandUp for Kids.
 |
Helping Our People Excel (h.o.p.e.) is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to support people in need, living in the Denver-metro area, through coordination of community resources. This is accomplished through a food pantry located in Lakewood, CO, where they served 13,711 children and adults in 2009. In 2010, h.o.p.e. served an average of 355 individuals weekly. In addition to food, h.o.p.e. offers financial support, clothing, valuable government and private resources, and help in finding affordable, wheelchair accessible housing for their clients. |
 |
StandUp for Kids is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to help homeless and street kids. The Denver team, made up of volunteers, is now performing street outreach four times a week in the downtown Denver area and assisting about 100 kids a week. They are building trust and relationships by showing the kids they care and being consistent in their outreach efforts to get them safe and off the streets. StandUp for Kids provides food, snacks, clean socks, hygiene items and clothing when needed. |
The committee members include representatives from the selected non-profit organizations. It is important to know that no Reason Fore Hope committee member receives compensation for their involvement in this fundraising event. 100% of the proceeds associated with this event, excluding operational expenses directly related to this event, are donated entirely to the non-profit organizations.
There will be a lottery drawing for team placements. Sponsors will have the first opportunity to have a celebrity on their team. Select the Celebrity Personalities link to view a list of celebrities and pro-athletes.
